My Project

I teach STEM - Technology in a PreK-8, Title I-funded school in Brooklyn, New York. Many of my students come from low socioeconomic households and are currently placed in temporary housing. All students receive free breakfast and lunch. This project will add books to our STEM classroom library. The books will be used to introduce our engineering design challenges. Being able to incorporate books into our STEM challenges is helpful for my students. Having a book read to them helps them to better understand the concept I am teaching and aids them in completing the STEM challenge.

The beauty of getting literature into my STEM classroom is it will help give my students background knowledge and give them some inspiration to be creative while completing their STEM challenges.
