My Students

My students walk into our class every day full of life and ready to learn. I want each of my students to know they can achieve anything and to believe in themselves just like I do. The students in my classroom are comprised of general education students as well as students with various learning and emotional disabilities. On top of educational and emotional disabilities, many of them have experienced trauma in their lives and have difficulty coming to school.

The typical student in my class comes from shelters and doesn't get the love they might need or things they need.

I want to be able to give each student multiple ways to learn and complete tasks. We want all of our students to have access to books whether they are in the classroom or learning remotely.

My Project

My students are starting this year on the right foot whether it is through blended learning or remote. I want each of my students to know they can achieve anything and to believe in themselves just like I do. The environment that has been created is the driving force of my students’ achievement.

How can they succeed if they don't have books on their reading levels or access to books during this COVID-19 Crisis? I want my students that are learning remotely to have access to the books that are in our classroom library.

By bringing just right books into our classroom library my 4th grade students will be provided with an avenue for success and be able to reach their reading goals of reading on grade level. Reading just right books will increase their focus and engagement which will ultimately increase learning and success to meet their academic goals.
