My Project

These books will help to encourage the love of reading that I strongly encourage in my classroom. Reading has always been a joy in my life, and I want to bring that joy to my students. I would like my classroom library to be a place that all students can find a book that interests them, and takes them on a journey to another place or time, a place where they can lie on a Bean Bag and forget the worries and stressors of their every day life, even if only for a while. Every student book that is placed in my library will be treated with love and care. The opportunity to have books in their library that they have chosen, and that they can identify with and see themselves in will be a satisfying experience for all involved but especially for my students.

Most students love tales or stories of some kind, whether in the form of movies or comics.

My hope is to offer them multiple opportunities to engage with books that cover topics that interest them in a format that they like, be that graphic novels, comics, poetry or digital books. When students are interested in the content and the format they read more. I believe that these texts, I have chosen, will spark their interest and start them on a journey as a lifelong reader.
