Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a founding Pre-K program in a high-testing education system, Pre-K is often overlooked and lacks materials. My school is a Title 1 school, therefore my students come from a low socioeconomic status; resources are always an issue. We need resources! Our school is built off students that are bright and eager to learn. What better way to cultivate those minds than through books!

My goal as the founding Pre-K teacher for my school, is to help my students find a joy and love for reading.

Through literature students will develop language, life skills, and discover interests. Our classroom library is currently empty, therefore I am asking for books in order to fill up our library with rich literature. These materials will allow me to provide my students with a memorable and enhanced learning experience. The sky’s the limit!
