Do you know what its like to not be able to put a good book down? My students are constantly picking up these books, but we don't have enough copies!
My students are enthusiastic fifth graders who love to read, recommend, and share books with each other.
We are a self-contained fifth grade classroom. Our school is in an urban school district where money is always short, but love of reading books is not.
My Project
Our students love to read, plain and simple. But we never seem to be able to keep these titles on the shelves. My students want to be able to read the same books as their friends, and to share their great books in writing and in conversation in the classroom. My students need 13 exciting and engaging books to read during Reading Workshop.
By giving to my project, you will be continuing to foster love to reading in my students.
I hope that if we inspire students to read when they are younger, they will continue to enjoy reading, whether it be fiction or non-fiction, in their futures.
