My Project

I am a music teacher and love to incorporate literacy whenever I can. Exposing students to good books that are rhythmic, rhyming, and repetitive helps them become not just readers, but BETTER readers. I will use these books and writing utensils in my classroom to engage students in the stories we read. Eventually, the students will add instrumentation to the stories we use in class and will become independent readers -- and more importantly: lifelong lovers of reading and music. These stories will become a daily part of my music class.
