Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students range from k-6th grade in Los Angeles, California. My students enjoy taking time to relax their bodies and emotions. In fact, it's needed for them to take a brain break in order for them to be able to learn throughout the day. My students are always eager to help/assist, and learn, therefore, I want to be able to provide an area where they can take a break if they need to.

A calming area is needed.

There are a lot of emotions going on in my classroom. They need an area where they can go and settle their minds and bodies. At this time, I have a table and a couple of books as a calming area. We would love a small couch and a bookshelf. Having a couch and a bookshelf will allow my students to relax their bodies while reading a book of their liking.
