My Students

Get children hooked on reading, but providing them with Read Aloud. Their favorite stories read aloud to them in a listening center, that helps students be engaged in their books!

My students attend PS 183, where reading standards are high, and I would like to do everything possible to enhance their literacy skills.

They are in New York, and are beginner readers. They are learning their letter sounds and words for the first time.

My Project

Read Aloud will provide my students with a chance to become more immersed in literature, and help young readers feel confident when opening books for the first time. It is important for students to develop confidence at an early age. Listening to a story while looking at the pages helps students to learn the 1 to 1 tracking skill.

I would love for my students to feel confident when reading by having heard stories aloud over and over again.

Students will be able to reach the benchmarks required by the state by having all literacy tools available to them.
