Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My second grade students have recently returned to in person learning after a year and a half of learning remotely. They are eager, happy and ready to learn. They are ready to build a community in our classroom, and they want to help one another learn.

My Project

The materials I am requesting will help boost students reading fluency. This allows students to have a listening station in our classroom. Not only that, but students will be able to hear their favorite stories frequently. They will build a stronger sense of comprehension, and these stories will help to create a love of reading. Having this listening station will allow students to work independently, and it will provide me time to work with other students in small groups. I would also love to allow students to take these books home to share the love of reading with their families.
