My Project

I have a wide range of students in three grade levels that have diverse tastes in reading. To interest them in reading, I like to have books of all genres. I am trying to build our class library of full novel sets and add choices for all of my students.

I like to expose them to classic novels while using those to springboard them into discussions and nonfiction materials related to the topics.

These novels will help to build themed units with the novels I already have. Sometimes we just like to read a novel for fun as well. The students have requested some new novel sets and these sets will help to balance out their choices.

These novels will enhance the print-rich environment I strive for in my classroom. These titles are some of the novels the students have expressed an interest in reading. The project will help to develop more love for reading and more genres for the students to enjoy.
