Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Many of my students have few books, magazines, or other educational materials at home, so it's crucial that they experience every possible advantage at school. I teach mostly ESL students, some of whom are special needs.
As a teacher at a high-poverty school, I am convinced that my students will excel when provided with quality materials and instruction.
I know that when they are immersed in engaging learning activities, they will thrive! My students will greatly anticipate the next issue of 'Let's Find Out' and 'Science Spin' so they can learn about the world around them. These publications combine awesome photos and 'just right' text and the children love reading them at school, then taking them home to reread with their families.
Each issue has related activities on the back page, allowing the students to sharpen their skills while having fun.
In addition, the students find and circle their sight words in the text, further benefitting from these publications. Your donation will indeed enrich our curriculum!
