My Students

My young superheroes are eager to learn and grow as scholars and future leaders. We are working so hard to become technically literate early in our educational journey.

Our classroom is tiny, but our learning is mighty.

More than half of our students qualify for government meal assistance, and bus in from areas where life is less than ideal for a child to thrive in. We have dedicated staff and parents working together to ensure our students have positive experiences and opportunities where resources allow.

My Project

My students need diverse reading materials that engage and motivate them to become independent readers.

Scholastic News is an engaging magazine that students enjoy receiving each week in class.

This colorful magazine addresses science, politics, technology, and world news in a colorful and friendly format, including debates to engage critical thinking, and comprehension quizzes in each issue.

Students love having their own copy to enjoy with other reading activities in and out of the classroom. The magazine is formatted with kids in mind, including really cool topics with colorful photos, exciting captions, and defined vocabulary.

Scholastic News will nurture a lifelong reader attitude for kids who need more motivation to read.
