Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are special because they are full of life, hope, and curiosity. They are happy and energetic although they may face set backs. The neighborhood and school are in a low social economic area. The city doesn't provide many resources for the community, so my students are grateful for anything exciting or new that they experience.

These students are caring and independent.

Throughout the day they help each other out. They work well independently and in cooperative groups.

My Project

The math books collection will make a difference in my students' learning because it will provide for an opportunity to embrace different math concept through reading. Students will enjoy reading from the mathical award and honors books, fractions books, and multiplication and division books.

Students' learning outcomes will be numerous.

I can read a book aloud to them to introduce a new math concept. They will be able to partner read about what fractions are and how we use them in everyday life. Most importantly, students will experiences how literature and math are connected.
