Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I told me students that Donors Choose had sent me an email requesting I submit a project for books! I told them about it, and they immediately wanted to give me suggestions. I asked them to practice sending me an email with the link requesting a book.

I was surprised by their selections because many of the books were from the Who Was/ Who Is series.

Many of my students wanted books about famous athletes who play basketball and soccer. In addition, we added some more recent books on current actors such as Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande. And how can we forget DOG MAN!--an all time favorite.

My students will be moving to middle school next year, and I hope they continue with their passion for reading. In addition I requested bookmarks and pouches for them to store the books when they take them to read at home.
