My Students

"Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much." ~Helen Keller, Author My students are eager to achieve their goals but there are challenges of not having supplies to meet the needs of all learners. I believe that students can achieve their goals by having access to supplies.

My students come from low-income and minority backgrounds.

More than half of my students are ELL so they need extra support with visual aids and scaffolding. They enjoy coming to school because it is time for them to explore and discover knowledge. My school focuses on students making good choices, problem solve and show respect. These are personal standards that both students and teachers exercise.

My Project

Using dice and fraction bingo games, students will learn to be fluent in adding and subtracting fractions. They will use white board markers to practice multiplication and division with partners. Also, they will use crayons to do integrated art and math such as grid and pattern projects to understand the concept of fractions.

The project will make a great impact in my students' learning.

Using dice and fraction games, students will gain confidence and will be more engaged in solving fraction and decimal problems. The needs of all learners will be met through using white boards when we practice spelling. This project will help students will feel confident and excited to learn by providing ways to accessible learning.
