Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach English Language Learners at a Title I school in the Bronx. My students are inquisitive, curious, energetic, and love to learn. My students are in Kindergarten and First Grade - when the foundation of phonics and literacy is built. These years are crucial in developing the skills required to be a lifelong reader.

Due to school closures last year and this year's blended learning model, my students have many literacy skills to catch up on.

My goal is for my students to become fluent readers by the end of this year, but we need many materials to achieve our reading goals. Please help me purchase phonemic awareness activities and games for my students to learn this year.

My Project

These creative, hands-on materials and games will assist my students with developing sensory and literacy skills.

These phonics activities will help support my students as they acquire the skills necessary to learn to read.

They will support students' language development and create fun and engaging learning experiences for my students. My students will greatly benefit from these supplementary materials. They will enhance my lessons by providing extra phonemic awareness support to students who need it the most. By donating to this project, you will help children become lifelong readers, and therefore, lifelong learners.
