My Students

After a year out of the classroom as a technology specialist, I am returning to the classroom this year to teach ninth grade computer and financial literacy. This course will prepare the ninth grade students for success during their high school careers and beyond. Located in Philadelphia, our school offers Career and Technical Education Programs.

Ninth grade students are introduced to the different programs available and will select their pathway for tenth through twelve grade.

At the end of ninth grade, they will have the foundation needed for success in the technical programs.

My Project

During the final marking period of Entrepreneurship Studies, the ninth grade students will be participating in a stock market challenge. This will be their largest financial project during the year. Each student will receive $100,000 to buy and sell as they see fit.

After six weeks, the class winner will be crowned as the "Bull of the Year" as the student that saw the most growth in his/her portfolio.

Although the knowledge should be award enough, I would like to provide my top students with a physical prize for their hard work. These prizes will go to the top investors of the ninth grade.
