My Students

Our school has a unique community of learners. Currently, we have 596 students enrolled to which we are 130 students over our maximum capacity for our building. Our students come from such diverse backgrounds, but that is what makes us unique and special. In my classroom, we have five different home languages with English being spoken at various language abilities. We pride ourselves on being a community of learners. My students are the greatest: kind, considerate and very giving to each other.

My Project

These audio materials are a valuable resource in my classroom because they will allow me to work with smaller groups of kids and allows other students to work on listening and comprehension skills. These audio books will be used to further advance my ELL students' reading skills by building vocabulary, language and reading comprehension.

Half of my class is literally learning to read and write in English simultaneously.

These audio books would be a wonderful asset for my ELL kids because it will allow them the opportunity to listen in English at their comprehension level and build on those skills.
