This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Dear donors,

Arts in the classroom create joy, interest, cultural experiences, and mindfulness to my students.

As an upper elementary school teacher I use different art skills as well as teach and introduce my students with different artist from different cultures. Most of my students had not created an authentic art piece since timing in the classroom is an issue. Every friday we create, learn, and inspire creativity within my students. FUN FRIDAY, is a day where students look forward to creating different art pieces we have learned from artist such as Van Gogh, Frida Kahlo, Roy Lithstein, and much more.

This project was created to support my end of the year art projects.As a fifth grade teacher, I love to see how engaged and motivated my students are as we are going to create a self portrait as a form of cultural project. Some of the items we are in need of include glue sticks, card stock paper, skin tone crayons, paint brushes, paint holders, ink to print master copies, and a gift card from teacher pay teacher in order to spark creative art skills. In advance, I cant wait to see all the supplies as they are in much need. Fun Fridays, is one way where I can spark self esteem, cultural experiences, and creativity. Thank you in advance for supporting my 5th grade classroom!
