My students are twenty first century English language learners whose learning is very much technological in scope and limited in nature. Their personal barriers to learning include never having the experience or opportunity of seeing a love for reading or an expectation for learning from their parents. Such a mindset requires out of the box teaching, visuals, project based learning and high interest resources.
My students have both the capacity to learn and willingness to excel.
They desperately need high interest, 21st century resources that will put learning in their grasps.
My Project
With these books that uniquely deal with subjects like programing and coding, global warming and pollution and the energy crisis, these books will both inform my students of the complex issues at hand while improving their comprehension skills and vocabulary.
These books provide authentic pictures, research based information and are written with students in mind that will be used for project based learning!
My students will use these materials for research projects, writing compositions and in career investigations. Through the purchase of these materials, I can integrate, Writing, Science, Social Studies and Reading throughout the curriculum. Students will have the opportunity to think critically and communicate with others through these book sets. Year after year my students will benefit from these essential resources!
