Help me give my students the gift of Dr. Seuss's collection of extraordinary books that will motivate them to read in the classroom and to be able to get the hands-on exposure to texts in person.

My Students
I am going to start with 35 amazing students this year. I am looking forward to sharing culturally responsive texts that will impact their social and emotional well being in a very positive way. Coming back to school will be quiet challenging yet rewarding, especially being able to see and communicate with one another regularly. Our priority is to be safe and together.
My students are very special because they have unique situations in their homes.
I would like to have these culturally responsive text to teach my students about all cultures that New York is made up of, just like the melting pot that we are. It is important for them to learn and celebrate each other's cultures.
My Project
Struggling readers will often pick up a comic book because the pictures and visuals are less intimidating than a typical book. These books are a great way to lessen the intimidation and have them feel the ease to read and learn the amazing vocabulary these books can offer.
Students will also have the opportunity to communicate with their peers on the thoughts and ideas they have on different topics from the book.
Students once again will feel the norm of being able to share how they can relate to the texts as well.
