My students need these 9 sets of Language Arts games because most of them are performing below grade level in ELA skills. Using games during tutorials will help remediate their skills.

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
As I teach my students, their needs are ever present before me. The greatest is making sure that they have the necessary skills to succeed in life. With so many of them needing remediation, I stress over just how prepared they will be. I am willing to do whatever it takes to get them there.
I serve a diverse population of students ethnically, socially, and academically.
This is a Title I school in Texas. I believe they are eager to learn, however, because of background, they come unprepared. I have to provide so much, not only academically, but socially as well to help them excel. I desire to make that difference.
My Project
Before teaching middle school since January 08, I taught on the elementary level. Games provided a format that was fun, engaging, as well as educational for the kinds of students I served which looked like the ones I serve presently just at the middle school level. My students need 9 sets of Language Arts games because most of them are performing below grade level in ELA skills. I know that acquiring these skills will assist them in their future educational endeavors making them capable life long learners with the ability to think critically and productively.
This project is important because in order for me to prepare my 6th graders for 7th, I must help close their educational gaps in order to move them forward.
Many of them that are missing skills from their elementary years will be able to master 6th grade and move on to 7th grade with these skills in place for future success.
