This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love to read, and they especially like reading books in a series. But imagine their disappointment when a book or two is missing from their favorite series. Unfortunately, even with the utmost care in keeping track of our classroom books, inevitably some go missing. This is why I am in need of some replacement books and some additional books for their favorite series.

My students seem to gravitate to trending series and love to read them.

Many high interest series stretch my students in their reading ability. Although it may be a challenge for them, they continue to read and focus because these types of books foster a love of reading. As result, students improve their comprehension.

Other random supplies such as book tape and permanent labels would be a great help in our classroom.
