Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students have tremendous potential, but often, limited opportunities to demonstrate their abilities. They are goal-oriented and highly motivated to succeed.

All too often, their accomplishments are overshadowed by basketball and football games.

They have all the drive and talent, but lack the proper stage to shine. They are constantly willing to take on new challenges, and I believe that given the chance, their commitment and ability will allow them to be as successful in athletics as they are in academics.

My Project

Our students see the benefits and rewards linked to a winning program. I would like to expose them to another sport that will provide similar benefits and rewards.

My project will help equip the members of the bowling team with uniforms and equipment so they can not only shine at the sport, but have the ability to compete against other students in a safe, controlled setting.

By funding this project, we will be able to grow our school's athletic offerings to reach a wider range of our student population while introducing them to activity that they are sure to enjoy.
