Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Music is alive at in the Bronx! Although the pandemic has changed the way we learn and teach, music is still filling the halls of P.S.42 with physically distanced dancing and body percussion activities, very quiet singing from a distance with masks, and through focused listening and discussion. We have also been able to use technology in new ways and improve our writing.

My Project

At PS 42, we support our students by offering a high level education, a variety of extracurricular activities, and family/community based events to bring everyone together. Our PBIS team hosts bingo each month, and often come together with dancing or physical based events. Our arts department hosts musical concerts and art shows, and our students have such wonderful voices and talents to share!

Our school has no speakers for outdoor events, which is where your help is needed!

Your donation will allow us to offer appropriate volumes for public speakers and musical performances, and be able to hear our wonderful voices across our outdoor space.
