Help me give my students the technology required to support the new Macbooks we funded through yearbook last year! We also need a class set of the AP Stylebook and supplies to run a photobooth at school events.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
The yearbook is one of the biggest money-makers at any school, but a good yearbook requires a stellar staff to design the book, an inclusive school culture that encourages kids to buy it, and cutting-edge technology to actually build the book and make every page pop. The good news is, we've spent the last two years building our staff and school culture. All that's left is the technology!
Last year our book brought in over $28,000 dollars, so after paying for printing costs we were able to fund three new Macbooks and an iMac desktop for our staff to use.
Having previously depended on desktop computers that were older than my students, this upgrade was sorely needed. However, there's still a lot of additional technology required to make the yearbook lab run smoothly. This includes covers for the laptops, licenses for Microsoft Office, a printer and ink so we can color-test pages, an external hard drive to save all of our photos, and various dongles to make sure our laptops can connect to our other devices.
My staff and I have worked so hard to make the our yearbook something we can be proud of - and you can see our efforts reflected in our sales. Though this may seem like a pretty high price tag for various electronics, every single dollar donated will come back to our school ten-fold. While yearbook staff members learn skills in photography, journalism, marketing, design, and collaboration, the rest of the school benefits with a keepsake they can treasure well into adulthood.
