This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Reading and listening to stories are important for the development of preschoolers. Many students did not have access to their local libraries or books at home to read. We encourage story time at school and promote literacy through a read-aloud. Unfortunately, our classroom is in need of big books. These big books provide a clear image for all the students to see while in a large and small group. The words are large and allow students to follow along as I read the story. These books would promote literacy and a love of stories.
