This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Help me create a lesson on rainforest habitats that students will never forget! In second grade, students learn about how habitats help provide for an animal or plant's needs. I am looking to create a project, in which my students get to explore the different habitats throughout stations in my classroom. By donating to this project you will be helping me create a rainforest habitat station for my students to explore.
Students will be thrilled to enter the classroom to find rainforest birds and vines hanging from the ceiling!
The tapestry includes images of rainforest animals hidden throughout a variety of rainforest plants. Students will use their binoculars to explore the scenery, making observations.
Students will inspect the rainforest animal toy figurines to help make predictions on how the animals have adapted to survive in the rainforest.
The books included in the project will be used as read-alouds during the unit, as well as a research tool for students.
