My Project

I am excited to be teaching Jumpstart Preschool. I will have two classes that utilize the rainbow rug seating for read-aloud, calendar time, and sharing time. Having a distinct spot on the carpet will help eliminate behaviors, and having a successful carpet time helps better prepare the children for kindergarten.

These students meet special qualifications to be in our class; family qualifies for free lunch, single parent families, one parent was a teen parent at the time of the child's birth, the parent lacks a high school diploma/GED, family speaks a language other than English, the child is in foster care, or child is homeless.

I want each child to feel welcome, important, and successful. Having a new rug will start us on that path.
