Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have a large classroom with fairly large ceilings and 9 large windows. It is the dreariest white you have ever seen and there is not much space to hang up things because the windows take up most of the classroom. I therefore put large photo props up to make the room lively. Over time with the sun, the color quickly fades and these backdrops are replaced every single year.

I am kindly asking for various rainbow classroom decors where students can feel that when they enter my cozy classroom, they have a "rainbow of possibilities".

The rainbow stools will be used for the kidney table where the vinyl dots will go. The two photobook drops will be hung up on the window shades with the double-sided masking tape. The rainbow pillows will go in the calming corner, along with the rainbow lava lamp. The NEON lights will go in various places in the classroom. The step stool and plastic small shelves will go in the bathroom wall to hold supplies. The rainbow baskets will hold our plushies in the reading area.

I hope with all this decor the classroom will be cozier and calming. This adds to the student's mental health and well-being. When they are calm, they are more focused.
