My Project

As Mississippians, my students are all too familiar with tornado weather; they are accustomed to both participating in tornado drills regularly as well as being at school during potential tornado threats. Often, students will become upset and inconsolable when we do encounter tornado weather. The resources I am requesting (an iPad, an Apple pen, and a printer) will help us become more knowledgeable about the effects of tornado weather on our community and surrounding areas. Knowledge will help my students become less afraid when these types of weather activities occur.

An iPad will allow my students to experience tornado weather and effects virtually in order to learn how they can become more safe during these events and to become members of our community who can be helpful to individuals who experience these events.
