Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach 27 first grade students in an inner city TITLE I school. 80% of the families at my school qualify for free breakfast and lunch. While the children come to school eager to learn, they often come lacking any kind of enriching cultural experiences. Many of my students come from either a single parent home or a family in which both parents are working.

My students' families want to give their children opportunities but lack the resources or capability to do so. In this current economic climate, school systems are forced to make budget cuts. Of course, performing arts is one of the first things on the list that has to be cut.

I'm asking that you help me provide my first grade students with a class trip that they will remember for a lifetime. We need tickets to see the Radio City Christmas Spectacular! This will give the children an experience unlike any that they have ever had before.

Your generosity will make it possible for my students to see a professional musical performance at Radio City Music Hall. This is an opportunity that my students will never have without your support. Please help make our dream come true.
