Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work with students who are eager to explore their surroundings! In my room we have preschoolers on the autism spectrum. My kiddos are busy and excited when they come to school. They are pushing autonomy and are very self-directed. When it comes time to do their work, it can be difficult to keep them engaged or to pull them away from their preferred activity.

The most helpful way to keep them interested in completing their work are radiant reinforcers!

Providing them with fun and engaging items to work for makes completing their tasks more achievable. I am a firm believer in differentiation. Not every child needs the same things to succeed. If I could offer my students positive rewards for their hard work, they can establish a successful work ethic.
