Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are the sweetest, most loving kids! They come from all walks of life. Many of my kids have experienced things that no child should ever have to deal with. My school is a title one school and a vast majority of the students come from low income families. All students at my school receive free breakfast and lunch.

Despite the different adversities my students face, they still come to school with a positive attitude, smile on their face, and hunger to do better.

My kids make me exited to come work every day. They motivate me to not only be a better teacher but a better person.

My Project

These books will continue to diversify my current classroom library and give my students intriguing new selections. Giving my students many options in non-fictions books will help them gain knowledge about the world they live in.

Each book in my library is treated as precious treasure since many students do not have books at home.

All of these books have been chosen with my students in interests in mind. I have asked the class what types of books they would like to see in our library and have watched what they've been reading throughout the year. Having interesting books to chose from will motivate my students to continue reading and help them become stronger, radiant readers.
