Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are dedicated student-athletes who proudly represent our school on the badminton court. Our high school team represents a school from an area that has a lower socioeconomic status compared to other high schools in the area. My student-athletes are committed to representing our school with good sportsmanship and respect for their sport as well as maintaining their good academic standing throughout each school year.

Our badminton family is growing and we need enough rackets and birdies to accommodate all of our student-athletes.

Many of our players are able to play each year without worrying about the costs. We want everyone to have the ability to play.

My Project

Many of my players first learn to play badminton on our team. Each season, many of our players' skill levels greatly increase. Our equipment meets the needs of many of our beginner and intermediate 1st and 2nd year players. However, with our more experienced players, they are unable to develop as quickly without the right equipment.

We are requesting newer rackets that we would be able to use to help develop all of our players further and more birdies for practices.

Many of our players are unable to afford the costs of these rackets, that would help them continue improving, on their own.
