Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our vision is to make winter sports, particularly skiing and snowboarding, accessible to all young people, regardless of background or socioeconomic status. We strive to create an inclusive, equitable environment where every child—no matter their circumstances—has the opportunity to experience the joy, challenge, and personal growth that come with winter sports. Through community partnerships, outreach, and supportive programming, we envision a future where barriers to participation are removed, and all youth can enjoy the unity, camaraderie and unique experience that winter sports provide.

Our ski club has grown to include a rental closet where we house skis, boots and poles for students to use for the season!

This project help us purchase storage racks to safely hold the skis when not in use. Currently, our ski inventory is leaning against the walls, taking up a significant amount of space, and is at risk of being knocked over like dominos at the slightest bump. These racks will be a game changer in managing our inventory for student use throughout the season. Our ski club is one of the most in demand groups in our school, and is not possible without generous donations from people like you!
