My Students

Each day that is spent with our students is a day filled with excitement and rigor. Our class contains a complex mix of multi-cultural backgrounds, varied abilities, and smiling faces. Our students enjoy using the many technological components in our classroom.

This year we have focused on STEM education and Computer Science in the classroom.

The students have participated in many different STEM challenges and began to write and develop computer code. We see the gleam in their eyes when they participate in these activities. This is what learning is all about.

Our school is located in a family oriented neighborhood in Brooklyn. We are a tight knit school and we consider the children in our class to be the future of our community.

My Project

Throughout the course of the school year our students are involved in many projects that include one major component, technology. We have created a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) rich curriculum in our classroom to prepare our students for the future. We, as educators, understand the need for students who are prepared for the workforce and essential fields that are currently lacking qualified employees. We are immersed in Computer Science education and the students have been writing and creating their own computer codes. But they can't print anything because of the lack of ink and paper in the classroom. We have all the elements but we can't print tangible results for the kids to analyze. They get disappointed when they ask to print and we say that our ink cartridge is empty. We want them to see their hard work pay off in print. Please help us make their dreams come true.
