My Students

R. Buckminster Fuller said, "Everyone is born a genius, but the process of living de-genius' them." Help me help my students explore their creative genius by researching, designing and building a geodesic dome, Mr. Fuller's grand achievement!

I teach at a low income school where the average annual income in the community is approximately $17,000.

I am a ROP teacher who is trying to steer these students to discover their personal genius in design and architecture. America's recovery depends on these kids learning skills for the workplace of tomorrow. They can achieve this dream if they have the proper materials and tools to succeed. These are good kids who need a level playing field if they are to compete in the world marketplace. Thanks for listening.

My Project

I do not know a more decent and demanding profession than teaching. I am retired from the construction industry, and I feel I have been "called" to help these kids. I have always tried my best in whatever I have pursued. Now, its time to pass these attributes on to my students. With the help from donors like you, I can provide 200 32"x40" foamboard sheets to help my students research, design and build a full size geodesic dome enclosure in the classroom.

"The only place where Success comes before work is in the dictionary." These students need guidance and support if they are to succeed in this world.

I create projects that not only ask the student to dig deep for that creative design genius, but also projects that they can feel and create with their hands, project based learning that involves the whole person. The pride-filled look on their faces when they build the project they have been dreaming about is the greatest teacher reward.
