My Students

My students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with over 50% of our students receiving free lunch. Our school is also one of the most ethnically diverse schools in Queens. Students speak a multitude of languages including English, Spanish, Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Arabic.

My Project

I am requesting bottles of water so that our students can drink purified water. Many students do bring bottled water from home unfortunately many of them finish their water before the end of the day. Students need to drink water throughout the day.

These materials will allow our students to keep hydrated during the school day.

Water aids digestion and is vital for proper blood circulation. It also helps transport nutrients and oxygen to cells, cushions joints and protects organs and tissues, helps regulate body temperature, and maintains electrolyte (sodium) balance.
