My Project

As a founding Spanish teacher at a brand new school in Queens, my students and I have embarked upon a beautiful, challenging journey together. Since we’re so new, there are still many things to be smoother over and there is certainly no shortage of speed bumps and roadblocks along the path to our success!

One key way to make this journey easier would be to give my students access to anything that they would possibly need to face the long school day with eagerness, resilience, and grit.

These resources range from the bare essentials, such as pencils, pens, and personal journals, to other items such as books for leisurely reading, snacks to keep their minds sharp, and sensory tools to ease the inevitable stress that comes with being a teenager.

It would mean the world to me and my students to receive such a generous donation. These students will use the materials with love and care, and I’m sure this will not only benefit them on a short-term basis, but also have a lasting impact as they continue to grow as students, human beings, and future leaders of Queens and beyond.
