Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Providing our students with high-quality volleyballs will make a significant impact on our sports program. These essential pieces of equipment will allow us to facilitate both practice and competitive play, ensuring that all students have the opportunity to participate, regardless of skill level or experience. Many of our students are trying out volleyball for the first time, and by having enough balls to go around, we can ensure that each player gets the repetitions they need to develop their skills and grow as athletes.

Beyond the physical benefits, team sports teach valuable lessons that extend far beyond the classroom.

Through volleyball, students learn the importance of teamwork, communication, resilience, and leadership. These experiences help build confidence and foster a sense of belonging and community among players. High-quality balls are crucial in making these practices productive and enjoyable, as they will last through multiple seasons, reducing the need for frequent replacements and allowing us to focus on skill-building. Ultimately, investing in these resources will enable our students to not only excel on the field or court but also grow in ways that will benefit them in every aspect of their lives.
