My Students

My class is an extremely diverse group of young people.

They come from many different countries, cultures, families, and socio-economic backgrounds.

We live just outside the city of Atlanta and are itching for new experiences and learning opportunities. They are very active and interested in the world around them.

The students in my class need hands on opportunities to learn. They thrive on applying the information we learn to projects and technology. Sitting in desks all day and doing worksheets and book work is not effective, nor does it create lifelong learners.

These students want to learn, but need a different way to do it.

My Project

I teach a hybrid model. I have half of my class in person and half at home. Teachers Pay Teachers create a lot of assignments that can be done digitally or in person. This will allow me to deliver the same quality instruction and assessment all of my students. In this complicated time, I want to make learning from home as simple as possible for all of my students. Visiting multiple websites and manipulating various types of files and documents can be very confusing for an 8 year old. Quality resources will allow the work to be engaging and easy to manage, allowing the students to truly focus on showing what they have learned.
