This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
As a Title 1 school in an urban area, our funds can be limited, especially now with budget cuts. Our ICT kindergarten students work hard to shine to the best of their abilities. Sadly, many do not get the support needed at home. Our students are amazing little individuals that are eager to learn. It is a pleasure to come to work each day and be surrounded by curious minds.
My Project
The materials that my co-teacher and I chose will be used in the classroom. The project consists of copy paper, laminating pouches, primary pencils, and post-its, needed for learning.
In this challenging year, having the materials that will help the students learn is important.
Copy paper is used constantly to complete tasks by the students in the subject areas. Homework packets are prepared for each student, therefore copy paper is constantly needed. The laminating pouches are used to project charts that my students use (ABC chart, sight words). Posts-its are used to write snap words that students find in their books, or drawing a picture to show what a character might be feeling!
The materials requested are used and needed in the classroom constantly.
