Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Quality and comfortable headphones will make a difference in my second grade classroom (9 students are English as a second language learners) because as a district we need to take online reading/math assessments, do online instructional programs, and listen to books/instructional games online.

My goals for this project are for all students to have their own set of quality and comfortable headphones for the entire year.

I bought 6 of these with my own money and am hoping to get the rest donated.

My students are special because they work so hard in all subject areas and are kind to each other. They help each other with academics when asked to do so. Most of them are on a 1st grade reading level and/or math level. Therefore; they are a year behind. Some are even on a kindergarten level. I need to close the achievement gap and bring them up to grade-level by the end of the year. I am excited to see all of the growth they will make in math and reading by June!
