My Students
In our classroom, we are a community of learners and leaders. All 60 of my students have the potential to make a real impact in this world. In an urban inner-city school like ours, many of our students cannot afford school supplies and the resources to take their learning to the next level. These students do, however, have the passion to achieve their dreams. In my class, we have future lawyers, teachers, doctors, musicians, sport athletes, and true leaders in our society.
These students are not only special, they are remarkable.
I wake up every morning excited about what the day will bring and not only what I will provide to my students, but also, what they will provide me in return. There will be laughter, smiles, and "ah ha" moments every single day as they continue to battle against their weaker skills, as well as bridging the gaps in their learning and celebrating successes and accomplishments.
My Project
This Q Ball will make a difference in my students' learning as it will increase student engagement and allow us to have more meaningful discussions in our classroom. As a teacher, I try any strategy to help my students buy into the learning and want to participate. This is one strategy I have not tried, but I know will be a huge hit with my kids.
