We are a Pre-k classroom full of energetic and fun-loving four year olds! We love learning through hands-on, playful activities. This is a very bright class that loves coming to school. I hope they will continue their love of school way beyond their Pre-k year. These children are a joy to see each morning and making their day as fun as possible is the best job in the world.
They have a desire to learn, they are creative, and they are inquisitive beyond words.
The children are huge fans of math and science projects. They love participating in science experiments each week and discovering new things just like "real scientists" do! They challenge each other and the teachers each day with new questions and possibilities.
My Project
This project is developed so that children can use these items to help develop their social and emotional needs as well as their fine motor skills. The puzzles are added to help develop social emotional skills as the children put the puzzles together and see the different moods and emotions as they work. The game cube and bug game will be used to spark interest in learning how things work, persistence, and the feeling you get when you accomplish something you have worked hard to finish--all the while developing the muscles in their hands to help their fine motor skills become more precise. These items will help the children in our classroom be aware of emotions, feelings and accomplishment.
