Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a unique blend of amazing transitional kindergarten students. They are bright, enthusiastic learners and rise to any challenge I present to them. I have a diverse group, even though we are a small group. 1/5 of my class is comprised of English Language Learners and about 1/4 of my class with special needs. With so many different learners in my classroom, I am constantly finding new ways to engage them.

All of my students have a passion for learning that I'm happy to encourage!

My Project

With social distancing requirements, it has been challenging to find a variety of things to allow my young learners to play at their desks. In TK, play is still a large part of the curriculum.

These puzzles will help my students have an engaging choice for their independent play time.

This will be one of their choices among others. I also have found that these wooden puzzles are easy to clean and disinfect so that they can be rotated out amongst the students.

Please help me give my students a classroom that still provides them meaningful play opportunities.
