My Project

Our kindergarten curriculum is not play based. As a team, we have decided to allow the kindergarten students the opportunity to have a free choice time at the end of the day on Fridays. During this time the students can work in teams to put these giant floor puzzles together.

Having the opportunity to work together as a team, and put these puzzles together, will foster social and emotional growth in the kindergarten children.

Currently, I only have one puzzle and that often times is fought over. Students love being able to work together to solve the puzzle.

I would like to provide puzzles for free choice time on Fridays not only for my class of kindergarteners, but for the entire grade. I plan to rotate the puzzles so all classes can enjoy working together to solve the puzzles.
