This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." - Benjamin Franklin. As a teacher, I work hard to help my students gain clarity and understanding through multiple entry points. Students learn and greatly benefit from different approaches to teaching and learning.

In our classroom, students learn how to be independent thinkers and proud learners.

They are supported and challenged to think deeper.

My students come from different backgrounds, share different talents, and are able to contribute in many ways to the learning that takes place in the classroom. We learn from one another, and help others to understand, using different techniques and various approaches to the topics. We work hard to find the best way that each of our students learn, and work with one another to ensure that we are reaching every individual student in a way that makes everyone feel successful. Our students understand material in a many different ways and together, we work to combine the pieces of information to develop a more collaborative understanding.

My Project

My co-teacher and I want to ensure that our students having the best possible environment for learning. We provide soft lighting, calming music, and opportunities to for students to sit in various places around the classroom to support their learning needs. During lessons, instead of sitting on the floor for a lesson, we want students to have a choice of how they want to learn.

These comfy floor seats will provide students with a seating option that allows them to get their bodies and minds ready to learn.

We want students to be engaged in lessons and activities, and these floor seats will allow students accessibility to work anywhere in the classroom, independently, or with a small group of students.
