My Project

We are from the proud state of Louisiana. Our students love engagement with each other and their families when it comes to learning.

With your help, my students will utilize the project's supplies to promote fitness and good health at our school.

We have the best students and a strong background in sports in which our school is continuously working to keep our students active and healthy. Our students work extremely hard each day utilizing different strategies to do their absolute best.

We are trying to get new supplies for our Middle and Intermediate Golf Team. Team sports such as golf promotes fitness from an early age which plays an important role in the growth and physical health of a child. Fitness contributes to boosting the immune system and hence warding off opportunistic illnesses like obesity and diabetes. Golf involves a lot of bodily movements and efforts which help to strengthen core muscles and bones.

Golf, specifically, provides moderately intense physical activity, such as walking, carrying your bag, and swinging. This increases your heart rate and blood flow, which results in a healthy heart, enhanced brain stimulation, and improved balance. Spectators and caddies can benefit from golf too! Research shows that golf spectators take more than 7,500 to 10,000 steps whilst watching a game, which is the daily recommendation for a healthy lifestyle.

Team sports help kids with tolerance for other kids with different personalities and backgrounds hence developing a sense of empathy and working with others to achieve a common goal. This also enables the kids to learn to get along with others even if they do not necessarily like them. In essence, “the working as a team” approach builds the child’s cooperation abilities, making them more productive even outside of golf.
